France: Update: Unions vote for fresh strike at Air France on 30 March

There will be more turbulence ahead for passengers of France's national carrier Air France as unions voted for a strike on Friday March 30th, on the eve of the Easter weekend. Air France staff are also set to strike on Friday March 23rd.
Some 10 unions representing all Air France staff including cabin crews and ground staff have backed a call to strike on Friday March 30th and will meet again later this month to decide on further action.

From media reports: Ecodibergamo.it reported that air traffic controllers at Orio al Serio International Airport plan a partial strike on Monday, 19 March, in a dispute concerning working conditions.
The strike will run from 1 p.m.-5 p.m., local times.

India: Update: IndiGo, GoAir cancel hundreds of flights in March because of aircraft grounding

Passengers are likely to face harrowing times with IndiGo and GoAir deciding to cancel more than 600 flights this month, of which 488 are by IndiGo alone, following grounding of 11 A320 neo planes with faulty Pratt & Whitney (P&W) engines.
The cancellations by the two budget carriers, which operate more than 1,200 flights daily on average, may significantly disrupt the summer schedule. There was no immediate clarity about the way possible compensation and alternative choices would be made available to the passengers already having tickets.
